
CALL TO CONVENTION

Utah County Republican Party Chairman Craig Frank, the Steering Committee, and the Executive Committee hereby CALL all UCRP COUNTY DELEGATES to the Organizing Convention to be held on April 29, 2017. COUNTY DELEGATES will convene at 10:00 a.m. to elect by ballot the Party Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. UCRP Constitution Article III.D. The Chair and Vice-Chair will be ex-officio members of the Utah Republican Party State Central Committee (SCC).
Upon completion of the Organizing Convention business, all COUNTY DELEGATES are CALLED to report to their credentialed Senate District Caucuses to elect by ballot 22 UCRP Representatives to the Utah Republican Party State Central Committee (SCC) for a two-year term to begin after the May 20 State Convention. The SCC meets quarterly and is the governing body of the State Party. After SCC balloting, meet with your County Elected Officials in your Senate Caucuses. Utah County Government Elected Officials will also visit caucuses after balloting.

Organizing Convention Sponsorship and Business Advertising

Ad Space available
$500 5.5″ x 8.5″ Convention Sponsorship, ad in the Convention program and displayed as a slide while verbally recognized to the 1,500 delegates.
$200 4.25″ x 5.5″ Business advertisements in distributed program.
Suggested Ideas to help you plan for your day at the Convention:
- Plan on being at the convention from early morning until at least 1 pm.
- Car pools are encouraged. 1016 parking stalls are available. NW lot 160, SW lot 180. SE lot 256, NE lot 420
- Arrive early to obtain credentials and visit with candidates.
- Bring snacks and water. Food Trucks have been invited to be in front of the school.
- Bring photo ID.
Duties of a County Delegate
Represent your precinct by thoroughly examining and evaluating candidates, electing Party leaders and SCC representatives, and voting on possible proposed amendments to the Governing Documents, Resolutions, and/or the Party Platform.
- Review the UCRP Platform (standard for evaluating candidates).
- Attend Meet the Candidate events.
- Attend the County Convention to elect County Party leadership.
- Attend your Senate Caucus (after the convention) to vote in SCC elections and hear from your elected officials.
