CAMPAIGN LITERATURE DISTRIBUTED by UCRP for CAUCUS NIGHT

Campaign material distribution for Statewide, Congressional, and Countywide candidates will be provided as an option to all FILED CANDIDATES.   Candidates appearing on the Lt. Governor’s website (CLICK HERE to see listing) who are Statewide, Congressional, or Countywide candidates may distribute materials to 275 precincts, by following the information provided in the following text (sent to candidates):

“Statewide, Congressional, and Countywide candidates may bring their precinct specific materials to 5282 N. University Ave., Provo UT 84604 (Arbors Clubhouse, near the entrance to Provo Canyon) on Tuesday March 15, 2016, between 6 pm and 10 pm.  You will need to supply your own labor for “stuffing” 275 envelopes.  Thank you.  Craig Frank, UCRP Chair.”

Because of limited UCRP resources, we have provided this optional service as a courtesy for Statewide, Congressional, and Countywide filed candidates only.  UCRP encourages all other local candidates who have determined to use the Caucus/Convention System, and who wish to obtain a nomination from the Party, to provide campaign literature to their respective precinct locations, for distribution on Caucus night.

Because of the shortness of this announcement, the UCRP is attempting to provide an additional opportunity for Statewide, Congressional, and Countywide candidates to bring literature to a central location for assembly into precinct “advertising” packets.

PLEASE NOTE THAT COUNTY COMMISSION CANDIDATES MAY BRING LITERATURE TO THE SAME LOCATION ABOVE ON THURSDAY, MARCH 17, 2016, FROM 6:00 pm TIL 8:00 pm.

We remind UCRP District and Precinct Leaders that “The [Utah County Republican] Party shall comply with the law.”  (UCRP Constitution, Article I)  We also remind Party leaders that no signature gathering on behalf of “petition only candidates” is allowed at UCRP events (including Caucus).  See statement by UCRP Executive Committee, by CLICKING HERE.
