In compliance with Utah County Republican Party Bylaw 5 (UCRP Bylaw 5.B.), “all Republican candidates who have declared their intention to seek partisan elected office, county office or legislative office within Utah County, shall be requested to meet with the Steering Committee, or its designee, prior to convention to discuss written instructions, approved in advance by the (UCRP) Executive Committee, regarding the Party’s standards…”
Each declared Republican candidate will be invited by the Steering Committee to meet with its members, or designee, to review the CANDIDATE FITNESS EVALUATION FORM, as well as the 2016 CANDIDATE DISCLOSURE STATEMENT, before a candidate may participate in the Saturday, April 16, 2016, UCRP Nominating Convention. Prior to the scheduled meeting with Steering Committee members, or its designee, all individuals who intend to file for the previously mentioned offices (i.e. partisan elected office, county office or legislative office within Utah County), between March 11, 2016 and 5:00 pm March 17, 2016, are encouraged to review the following documents associated with the determination (by the Steering Committee) of Republican candidate fitness:
