Whenever I am asked if I believe in Climate Change, I respond:
Al Gore was right, climate change is a major problem. The Polar Bear went extinct in 2010, the polar ice caps melted in 2016, sea levels rose leaving President Obama’s house in Martha’s Vineyard under 20 feet of water. If only Obama had taken Climate Change seriously, he and we would not now be dead. What would happen if fossil fuels were banned? (Note: making fossil fuels unaffordable is a defacto ban.)
- There would be no petro-chemicals for farmers to fertilize their fields.
- No fuel for farm equipment to cultivate and plant their fields.
- No fuel for farm equipment to harvest the corps they can’t grow.
- No fuel for trucks to haul the crops we can’t grow to processing plants.
- No electricity for food processing plants to process the crops we don’t have.
- No fuel to transport food from processing plans to stores.
- No electricity for store to refrigerate the food they cannot get.
- No gas for your car (or electricity for your EV) to go to work at the job you don’t have because your employer cannot turn the lights on or get raw materials.
What does the science say?
The climate alarmists claim that over 90% of all climatologists doing research into climate agree that climate change is real and it is caused by man. The words doing research into climate are key.
The fact is that is you are a climatologist and want to do research on climate, you must report a result that climate change is real and caused by man. Failure to do so results in denial of all research dollars. If you give them the wrong answer, you get no funding. Within three years the researchers get it. Tell them what they want to hear and I get research money. Tell the truth and you will not be doing any research.
Why do they want to cripple the economy?
Socialism does not compare well against a fully functioning free market economy. You have to make the economy not work. Over regulation and making energy unaffordable will do that.
One tactic of the left is “spread poverty as far and wide as possible.” People that are in poverty cannot defend themselves.
The Cloward and Pivon Strategy
Professors Richard Cloward and Francis Fox Piven (married to each other and taught at Columbia University) suggested that we could increase government spending to the point that is would be unsustainable and the government would collapse.
Democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover they can vote themselves largesse (or gifts) out of the public treasure. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefit from the public treasury, with the result that democracy always collapses over a loose fiscal policy, always to be followed by a
dictatorship. -- Alexander Fraser Tytler
Why have the Democrats been spending tax dollars like there is no tomorrow? Do they realize that deficit spending will result in our government collapsing and they have positioned themselves to be the dictators that follow?
They fight for the New Green Deal, knowing it will destroy our economy.
They fight DOGE and their efforts to remove the waste, abuse and fraud.
They fight the opportunity to achieve peace in Ukraine, because spending $183 Billion on that war is not enough.
Make no mistake, everything the left is doing is calculated to destroy your freedom and American prosperity.
What the Science Really Says
I am a retired research engineer. I have more than 75 inventions, 23 granted patents and more patents pending. I understand science. I do not consider myself to be a rocket scientist; however, I worked in the aerospace industry for over 30 years.
What do greenhouse gases do? They do not create heat, they hold heat. Anyone who has ever lived in a hot humid climate knows how miserable it gets. It simply does not cool down at night. I used to live in Pennsylvania. The high during the day would reach 96° F and the low at night would be 92° F. Here in the deserts of the west, if it reaches 105° F during the day, it can cool off to 70° F or 75° F at night.
I decided to do a study on climate change. If CO2 is causing climate change then we should be able to see it in what I call the Temperature Differential (TD) the difference between the high and low temperature of a given day. Water vapor (humidity) is the most significant greenhouse gas on the planet. I wanted to factor that out, so I chose to look at the TD of the first ten days of July in Barstow, California. I chose Barstow because it is over 150 miles from the ocean, there is at 10,000 foot mountain range between the coast and Barstow (located in California’s high desert) and Barstow is in the Mojave Desert with almost no humidity. There is little wind in Barstow in July so a warm or cool air mass is unlikely to distort the data.
I looked at the first ten days of July from 1975 to 2010, and because I did it in 2012, I threw in 2012 as a bonus. The TD averaged between 28.5° F and 32.0° F, but there was no pattern. I went back and removed all the cloudy and rainy days. The TD was then a rock solid 31.5° F, year after year. There were years that were warmer than normal and some cooler than normal, but the TD was a solid 31.5° F. If CO2 was causing climate change, the air would hold more heat in at night and over time, the TD would get smaller (high and low temperatures would converge over time). If CO2 was reducing, one would expect a graph of the High Temperatures compared to the low temperatures to diverge. Neither was happening.
CO2 only comprises only 0.04% of the atmosphere. CO2 is a gas that is essential for life. Without it, plants die, and everything I eat and you eat is either a plant or eats plants. No serious scientists would suggest that a gas essential for life, that makes up such a miniscule percentage of the air we breathe could possibly cause climate change (unless they are being paid through grants to say that).
